Ten Pearls met with Insurance Association of Pakistan (IAP) at the 8th Challengers Corporate Cup. Batting first Pearls openers Sheraz and Ajdal got their team off to a decent start with scores of 25 and 31 respectively. Nawaz Khan then broke their partnership, taking 3 key wickets to pull hs team back in the game. However the batting side were determined, contributings runs to keep the scoreboard ticking. Sameer Butt also took a wicket and there were 2 run outs but Faaz Ullah's cameo of 23 propelled to 156 for 6 in 20 overs.
IAP lost opener Umer Ishtiaq early on for just 1 run. Things did however seem to pick up when his partner Kashif Rajput scored 21 runs. The team kept losing wickets in regular intervals but Sameer Butt's 25 and Aamir Abbas's 27 showed some promising signs of chasing down the target. Eventually however an all round strong performance by Pearls bowlers lead by Fawad Hussain and Mudassir who took 2 wickets each rattled the opposition. 3 run outs further handicapped IAP's line up who were eventually bowled out for 144 in 19.3 overs.
Ten Pearls won by 12 runs.
