Shan Foods batted first against Ten Pearls and were off to a dream start. Opener Shiraz Ali was in prime form as he smashed 84 runs which included 8 boundaries and 4 sixes. His partner Syed Rafi also contributed with 24 runs. One down Saad Kaalia paired up with Abdul Rehman to keep the momentum going knocking 30 and 20 respectively. After the top order was dismissed however, Ten Pearls bowlers wasted no time in ripping through the opposition taking the last 6 wickets cheaply including 3 ducks. Fawwad Hussain and Zain Khan was merciless against the opposition taking a combined 6 wickets in their spells. Hamza also chipped in with a wicket. Shan Foods were restricted to 179 in 19.2 overs.
In response Ten Pearls were off to a solid start with opener Sheraz Siddiqui leading from the front. His impressive knock of 91 came at a strike rate of 165 and included 10 boundaries. M. Ali and Yasir Tanveer provided support on the other end with knocks of 15 and 18 with Ajdal Aziz stepping in with a responsible 32 to keep the scoreboard ticking. However Shan Foods bowlers pulled it back impressively with Israr Ahmed leading with his 3 wickets, Maqsood Ahmed with 2 and Adeel, Danish and Husnain with a wicket each. Ten Pearls fell just short of the target and tragically ended at 175 for 8 in 20 overs.
