Bright Gymkhana batted first against Gulshan Becks as part of the 4th Big Bash League. Despite losing 3 quick wickets, opener Sohail Fazal kept his wicket intact and the runs flowing with an impressive 75 runs. Jamal Mir then chipped in with 38 and Ali Bantva contributed with 30 to propel Bright Gymkhana to 186 for 5 in 20 overs. For Gulshan Becks, Tanzeel took 2 wickets while Kashif and Zain picked up a wicket each.
In reply, Gulshan Becks lost opener Kamran Ahmed cheaply for just 7 runs. His partner Ali Manzar and one down Muhammad Mujahid then steered the innings in their favour with knocks of 34 and 69 runs respectively. The Becks seemed like they were running away with it at one stage before Zeeshan Momia dismissed the duo. Consequently, wickets fell in quick succession and none of the other batsmen were able to capitalize on the foundation that had been set. Waqas Khan tried to fight back with a valiant 19 but Gulshan Becks were restricted to 158 for 8 in 20 overs. For Bright Gymkhana, Zeeshan Momia was the star bowler with 3 wickets while Ali Nasim and Jamal Amir picked up a couple each.
