Aga Khan Veteran and Sons of Pitches faced each other this past Saturday. Aga Khan Veterans batted first and lost both their openers for duck! After a nightmare start, things did not get any easier for as the team continued to lose wickets with the exception of Sabir Khan who put up a good fight. His valuable half century included 3 boundaries and 2 sixes. Aziz Charania and Zaheer Abbas also tried to save their side with knocks of 21 and 35 respectively. Sons of Pitches however were always on top with Ali Aamir leading the attack with a fiery 4 wicket spell that decimated the opposition. Ahsan, Shahzaib and Kumail also chipped in with a wicket each. Aga Khan Veterans ended at 151 for 9 in 22 overs.
In response, Sons of Pitches came out with guns blazing! Openers Farhad and Noman were lethal with the bat with scores of 76 and 52 to set up an easy victory for their side. Aga Khan Veterans bowlers were helpless against the onslaught with Afzal Baig eventually taking a wicket but it was too little too late. Sons of Pitches chased down the target in 14.4 overs.
