Shan Foods batted first against TenPearls in a match of 10th Challengers Corporate Cup which turned out to be a one sided match. Opener Shiraz Ali of Shan Foods went for a duck. But then the other opener Arif destroyed the bowlers of TenPearls and scored 63 runs with a pleasing strike rate of 134. Along with Arif, Hussain Raza played an important innings of 33 runs which resulted in building a momentous partnership between both the batsmen. Adeel Shamsi then came in the concluding overs and perfectly did his job by scoring 32 runs with a felicitous strike rate of 160 which helped Shan Foods to set a fancy score of 170 runs on the scoreboard with the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. TenPearls bowlers while looking completely helpless with their economies took six wickets in total with a run out. Zain Khan being the highest wicket-taker took 2 wickets in 2 overs.
TenPearls’ batting line-up collapsed completely in their turn from the beginning in an attempt to keep up with the required pace. Except for Faaz Ullah who went not-out with 28 runs, no body played a notable innings. Bowlers of Shan Foods splendidly contained opponents. Danish, Israr and Adeel claimed 2 wickets each. TenPearls stood no chance in the chase and were limited to 127 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets.
