Super Daddy CC batted first against Dirty Dozen at the Sugar Bowl. Babar Mufti and Shehryar Qadir in particular were outstanding in their innings of 52 and 68 runs respectively. Dozen bowlers were out of sorts, struggling to take wickets and make the breakthrough when needed. The momentum was always in favour of the Daddies as their batsmen dominated throughout the innings. Ali Mufti and Rehan Shaikh also knocked 25 and 23 runs respectively to boost their side to 194 for 3 in 20 overs. Dirty Dozen bowlers took a hammering.
In response, Dirty Dozen tried to fight back in the chase. While the team continued to lose wickets regularly, there were sprinklings of innings that gave the side hope and kept the scoreboard ticking. Captain Taimoor Butt's 35 in particular stood out while Asad Jafri and Bilal Akhleem tried with knocks of 23 each. Zohaib Nasir almost pulled off the victory for his side with a blistering 28 off 14 but fell short. Naeem Siddiqui and Ali Mufti were the key wicket takers for their side with 3 wickets in each in their spells. Dirty Dozen ended at 183 for 7 in 20 overs.
