Trail Blazers CC and Eagles CC played the second match of their 5 match series at SKBZ cricket ground . Trail Blazers won the toss and put Eagles into bat. Playing with 10 men, the team wanted to take advantage of cloud cover and seaming conditions. However an in-form Rehan Nazim was sublime in his knock of 66 runs off 42 deliveries despite having lost his partner Muhammad Jehangir Khan early who departed after scoring just 6 runs. Asad Mahmood was steady as ever with his 31 off 34 while the show stopper Madni Waqas Raja played an aggressive knock of 48 runs off just 21 deliveries including 3 sixes and 5 boundaries to propel his team to 182 for 5 in 20 overs.
In reply, Trail Blazers lost Adamjee Tai early after he had scored 10 runs but Faisal Butt remained form with his 49 runs off 33 balls and was unlucky to miss his half century.
Subsequently the remaining players chipped in with the middle order but were unable to capitalise on some decent starts. Mohammed Afzal Ilyas knocked 15, Imran shah 16, Tayyab R Balagamwala 16, Saad Dawood 14 and Ayaz Bhesania contributed13 runs. Eventually, 36 were needed off 3 overs with only 2 wickets left and it seemed a lost cause but Ahmed Usama's fiery 20 runs off 11 deliveries included back to back sixes and Ansar Bhesania contributed 12 runs off 5 deliveries.
Trail Blazers came close but in the end lost by just 3 runs in this nail biting contest as they ended at 179 for 8 in 20 overs. For Eagles, Munnam took 3 wickets while captain Cavish Farrukh and Madni Waqas Raja took 2 wickets each and Rehan Nazim picked up a wicket.
