Dawson Stars batted first against Wonder Boys at the 21st Challengers Cup with Abbas Lakhani starring for his side. The star opener smashed 84 runs off 51 balls with his fellow batsmen chipping in cameos to rotate the strike and keep the scoreboard ticking. Dawood Dawson and Usman Shah both knocked 26 and 21 runs respectively with Ibad Ur Rehman's 30 not out boosting Dawson Stars to 193 for 5 in 20 overs. Wonder Boys bowler Abdul Wahab picked up a couple of wickets with Kashif, Owais and Imran picking up a wicket each.
In response, Wonder Boys were off to a rocky start after losing Saad Razzak and Madni Bawany cheaply. The team however recovered well after that with Hassan Waheed playing an anchor innings of 79 runs. Owais Hassan, Atif Ali and Rameez Hassan scored 24, 29 and 20 runs respectively but it simply wasn't enough to get their side over the line. Dawson bowlers did well to pull back the opposition with Ibad Ur Rehman taking 3 wickets in his spell. Wonder Boys fell short, ending at 178 for 6 in 20 overs.
Dawson Stars won by 15 runs.
