Young Smashers failed to deliver against Okhai Friends and were all out in 18 overs after putting up a measly total of 110 runs.
The Smashers seemed well on their way to putting a competitive total on the scoreboard when No.3 batsman Husnain made 45 runs from 49 balls before he was stumped. Unfortunately for the Young Smashers, that was the end of their momentum and the subsequent batsmen fell; one poor performance after another. Okhai's bowling attack did not hold back and greatly determined the outcome of the match; Ahmed Sharjeel, Imran Muhammadi and Fawad Ghafoor took 2 wickets each while Mohsin Haneef starred in his spell, picking up 3 wickets.
Okhai Friends weren’t left with much of a challenge then and made a 112 runs in 15.3 overs for the loss of four wickets. Asim Imam and Rauf were the most notable contributors with knocks of 21 and 37 runs respectively. Even the Smashers bowlers could not save the day, only managing to claim 4 wickets; one each by Yousuf, Murtuza, Husnain and Sajid. The Okhai Friends presented a dominant batting and bowling front which systematically took down the Young Smashers.
They won by 6 wickets.
