BMCC defeated Aimmz Trading in the semi-final match of the 26th Challengers Cup.
Batting first, Aimmz Trading had a decent start with the bat as their openers Sohail Khan and Zain Khan scored 14 runs and 13 runs respectively. Bilal Khan added 18 runs off 19 balls, whereas Fareed Shah Arbab smashed 51 runs off 43 balls including 6 boundaries. Despite their efforts, the remaining batsmen were unable to post many runs on the board and skittled out for low scores. The team reached a total of just 126 runs. Akhtar Mohammad Lala bagged 3 wickets while Ahmed Kabeer and Fareed Ullah Agha took 2 wickets each.
BMCC lost one of their openers for 4 runs but their opener Ahmed Kabeer swiftly scored 39 runs off 30 balls. Muhammad Faizan Khan Bari and Ayaz Babar contributed 19 runs each to the total. Muhammad Fareed Ullah Agha smashed 32 not out off 25 balls. Their efforts took the team over the line to chase the target with ease and claim victory. Waseem Ali took 2 wickets for his side. The bowlers were unable to defend their side’s low total.
BMCC won the match by 5 wickets.
