Dream XI defeated Owners XI in the opening match of the Memon Talent Hunt Tournament.
Dream XI batted first and lost an early wicket. However, their other opener Moin Kodvavi scored 30 off 21 balls. He partnered with Mubeen Ali, who smashed 50 off 29 balls, including 6 boundaries. Middle order batsman Ali Aslam scored 25 runs while Sadiq Amin made 30 runs. The team amassed a total of 198 runs. The bowlers struggled to take wickets and conceded too many runs. Talha Tariq took 2 wickets for his side.
Owners XI were off to a decent start as their openers posted runs on the board. Abdur Rehman Bawany scored 15 runs while Talha Roomi made 25 runs. Dawood Dawson’s 20 off 12 balls also helped the team. Despite the top order’s efforts, the batting lineup fell apart as the middle order was dismissed for single digit scores. The team was unable to recover from quick losses and were bowled out for 104 runs. Asad Sumar took a 4 wicket haul, while Anas Hanif and Sadiq Suriya claimed 2 wickets each.
Dreams XI won the match by a massive 94 runs.
