Unity Tex batted first against One Step Diagnostic at the 32nd Challengers Corporate Cup. The team dominated the opposition with an all round performance with both bat and ball.
Unity Tex lost their top order cheaply, throwing away their wickets and looked to be in a world of trouble but Haider Ali Bangash stepped up to lead his side to a recovery. Haider's smashing 69 came off just 48 balls and included 3 mammoth sixes. While he couldn't find a stable partner, Afnan Khan's 24 and a fiery 15 by Khursheed Kaka helped Unity Tex to a defendable 163 before they were bowled out. One Step bowlers did well to try and limit the opposition with Shahid Aziz leading the attack with his 3 wickets while Tariq Malik and Kashif Sajjad taking 2 wickets each.
In response, One Step Diagnostic were completely blown away in the chase Khursheed Kaka taking an unbeatable 4 wickets, giving nothing away. Waseem Alam tried to give his side a fighting change with 47 at the top but the team were bundled out for 128 in 18.5 overs. Haider Ali Bangash was in fine touch with his 2 wickets while Mubashir Teli also picked up a couple.
Unity Tex won by 35 runs.
