Karachi Stallions batted first against Dolphins CC at the 24th Challengers Cup. The Stallions did well to put up a solid total with their top order contributing. Ahmed Hussain knocked 45 while Rehan Tanoli's 39 and the ever explosive Fahad Jabbar's 48 off 31 saw the Stallions post a mammoth 190 for 6 in 20 overs. Dolphins CC bowlers could do little to stop the opposition with Arif, Nadir and Umair taking 2 wickets each.
In response, with a big total to chase, Dolphins CC looked to be in trouble after losing opener Luqman for duck and his partner Azhar Khan for just 5 runs. The team however recovered brilliantly after that with Ejaz Shah's sublime 86 off 62 helping his side to a comfortable victory. Zeeshan Haider's 34 and a very valuable 53 off 23 by Akthar Muhammad saw Dolphins CC make quick work of a huge target as they chased down the target in just 19 overs. Stallions bowlers were weak against the opposition, unable to pick wickets when needed.
Dolphins CC won by 6 wickets.
