Ilham Sports batted first against Gulshan Becks at the 22nd Super Challengers Cup final at Eastern Star Cricket Ground.
Batting first, Ilham Sports top order did well to contribute valuable cameos to help set the foundation for a defendable total. Imran Sajjad's 26 and Zain Ahmed's 39 kept the scoring rate up while Zia Moinuddin's 26 off 15 helped their side post 180 for 8 in 20 overs. Kumail Raza was brilliant in his spell, picking up 3 wickets while Vicky Ali picked up a couple.
In response, Becks started off well in the chase with both openers scoring in their twenties. The team however continued to lose too many wickets throughout to ever build a partnership and have a real chance of chasing down the target. Ahsan Wasta's fifer was unplayable, ripping apart the Becks line up at an economy rate of just 4.50. Kazim also chipped in with 2 wickets but the team did well to contain the opposition as Becks ended at 129.
Ilham Sports won by 51 runs and were crowned champions.
