Zenith Associates overtook the Mavericks and beat them by five wickets at the TMC ground on Sunday.
Maverick batted first and they managed to score 131 runs with the biggest contributions coming from Muhammad Shahrukh and Khansha, each of whom made 35 from 38 and 32 from 27 respectively. In this very same innings, the bowlers did an amazing job with Muqarram Waheed Khan taking three wickets in three overs, Owais Soomro taking two wickets in four overs, Fahad Anjum taking a wicket in two overs and Rizwan Qureshi taking one wicket in four overs.
Zenith Associates, despite an initial struggle, managed to make a comeback starting from the No.3 batsman, Kamil Mehmood, who scored an impressive 59 runs from 48 balls and paved the way for his team to carry that momentum forward to score a comfortable victory in 18.4 overs for the loss of five wickets. Maverick bowlers Adnan Khan Niazi and Sami Ur Rehman each took two wickets, Muhammad Shahrukh took one.
Zenith Associates were the superior team when it came to batting and bowling against the Mavericks.
