Karachi Boat Club put on a very impressive performance against Moin Khan XI but they failed to beat them here at the Moin Khan Academy on 24th March.
Karachi Boat Club batted first and their opener Muhammad Arshad put on a near match winning performance by making an outstanding 101 from just 59 deliveries. Faraz and Saddam made 27 from 20 and 24 from 17 respectively. The team made a very impressive 186 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Waqas Ahmd took two wickets while Waqar Zubair, Umair and Zafar took one wicket.
Despite losing their opening batsmen who scored zero runs, Moin Khan XI made a comeback for the ages as they managed to successfully chase the target of 186. They made 190 in 19.3 overs for the loss of seven wickets thanks to the efforts of Zeeshan who made 41 from 22, Farrukh who made 30 from 29, and Waqar Zubair who made 84 from 47. Ali Samir took an impressive three wickets, while Saddam took two and Ahsan Khan and Faraz Paracha took one.
