RLCA Vs Omer Associates
Jaffar Qureshi gave an incredible start to Omer Associates as they batted first against RLCA. Jaffar scored an incredible 71 runs just off 54 balls, which included 8 boundaries and 1 massive six. With little help from Kamil Khan who only scored 5 runs and lost his wicket to Irfan Habib. Tahir Rasheed and Fayaz Ahmed carried a 32 runs partnership from the middle order. The remaining batting order was dismantled by the bowling side from which Nasir Ismail picked up 3 wickets and Shahab Uddin picked up 2 wickets. By the end of 20 overs, Omer Associates had scored a total of 135 runs.
RLCA were off to a slow start in the second innings, compared to what they did in the first innings. Zia Ullah went down after scoring 8 runs, which was a huge let down for his side. Never the less Muhammad Ali came to his team’s rescue and scored 23 runs, followed by Mazhar Hussain’s 16 runs knock. Shahdat Karim played a wonderful innings just in time to bring his team one step close to the win and scored 28 runs. In the end it was Asim Jatt who played the match winning shots with his knock of 38 runs, he and Nasir Jamil wrapped up the game in the 19th over. It was a pretty intense chase, but in the end RLCA got the better outcome.
RLCA won by 5 wickets.
