A Complete One Sided Affair

Insurance Assocation of Pakistan v ICT

IAP batted first at the KK Champions Trophy in what turned out to be a complete one sided affair. Their batting line up was outdone by an impressive display of bowling with ICT striking effectively. After opener Kamran Qaiser was out for just 2 runs, the implosion followed with the team losing wickets in regular intervals, unable to contribute much. Aamir Abbas, Mansoor Ahmad and Ahmed Nawaz were the only batsmen to show some resistance with desperate knocks of 33, 19 and 15 runs respectively. Khalid Kaka was chief destroyer with 4 wickets while Hunain Usman also picked up 2. IAP ended at a very low 96 for 9 in 20 overs.

It was the easiest chase of the tournament so far and ICT wasted no time. Despite losing opener Bilal Majeed for just 2 runs, Ali Iqbal and Suleman Ghani's knocks of 38 and 26 runs inched their team closer to victory. Umair's 14 run knock took their side over the line in 10.5 overs. For IAP, Hussain Mustafa, Kamran Malik and Nawaz Khan took 1 wicket each.

ICT won by 7 wickets.
