Falcons XI v Hardcore Dominators
Falcons XI batted first and were off to a decent start with both openers Hamza and Ahmed contributing valuable runs. They scored 13 and 20 runs respectively to get the momentum going for their side. Saad Asif was the real star of the show with a fiery knock of 60 runs to propel his team's total. Waqas Yaqub picked up 2 wickets for his side with 2 wickets but it was 2 quick run outs that really cost the Falcons batting line up. They eventually set a target of 153 runs in 20 overs,
Hardcore Dominators stumbled early on in their chase, losing opener Waqas for just 1 run. His partner Mustafa Irfan then joined Faraz Irfan to turn the momentum around for their side. They fought back with knocks of 29 and 41 runs respectively. Disaster struck once the duo were dismissed with 2 consecutive ducks that had their side reel. Sadiq Zain was lethal with the ball, picking up 4 wickets to rattle the opposition. Ibrahim and Ukkasha chipped in with 2 wickets each and the Dominators were unable to recover. Hamza Memon showed some resistance with his valuable knock of 21 runs but was caught by Arham on the last ball when 2 runs were needed. Bilal's 19 run cameo was also instrumental which almost had the Dominators over the line. They eventually fell short by only 1 run.
Falcons XI clinched victory by the tiniest of margins- 1 run.
