Hush Puppies batted first and lost Waqas Ali Vohra quite early in the innings which pushed them at the backfoot. Usman and Farhan Iqbal then got together and tried to bring some stability back in the innings. UsmanTahir scored 25 off 19 balls with 3 fours whereas Farhan Iqbal scored 25 off 22 balls with 4 fours. After their dismissal, Owais Gulzar came in and scored a useful 29 off 28 balls. On the other hand, A&B bowlers bowled exceptionally well they kept a check on the batsmen and never allowed them to get off the hook. Asif Nisar was the most influential bowler as he picked up 3 wickets just for 8 runs in his 3 overs. Humayun Alamgir also picked up 3 in his only over whereas Tanveer Mehboob picked up 2. They bowled brilliantly and did not concede a single extra in their entire innings. With this brilliant bowling performance, they managed to restrict Hush Puppies to just 149.
A&B were off to a poor start for the run chase. They lost their top 3 wickets for very little score and it was a big setback for them. Farhan and Habib bowled well with the new ball and gave their side a perfect start defending a low total. At that point, A&B were desperate for a partnership and Haseeb and Humayun gave them that luxury. Both knew their role and they batted accordingly. Haseeb scored 55 off just 37 balls with 7 fours and 1 six whereas Humayun scored 54 off 45 balls with 4 fours. This partnership put A&B in the driver’s seat and a little cameo from Saad Ali off 11 runs assured the victory for A&B. A&B won by 4 wickets in 19.2 overs.
