Abu Bakar Associates earned a dominant three-wicket win over 11/A Lions at the Young Fighter Ground this week.
11/A were off to a good start but fell short in their middle and lower batting order. Arif Mando made 23 from 15, Aqeel Wada made 12 from 31, Bilal Wada made 20 from 20 and Ilyas Muneem made 12 from 13. They made 104 in 19.4 overs before falling. Arif took an impressive four wickets while Zain Ul Abedin, Faizan and Jilani took one.
The Abu Bakar Associates faced a similar dilemma but their upper order batsmen were able to score enough to allow the rest of the team smooth sailing to victory. Arif made 25 from 17, Faizan who was not out made 45 from 45. They made 108 in just 16.5 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Ilyas Muneem took three wickets while M Aleem took two and Rizwan Ullah and Noman Wada took one.
