Takaful Pakistan batted first against Adamjee General at the Insurance Premier League (Season 2) and were bamboozled for a low 80 in 15.5 overs. Zafir Siddiqui was the stand out bowler for his side with an unplayable spell of 4 for 12 in his spell giving away nothing to the opposition. Takaful's batsmen simply could not find any stability with Imran Chughtai causing further injury, picking up 3 wickets and eventually bowling out the opposition.
Adamjee General started off in similar fashion and almost threw away the game! Despite chasing a low total, their top 4 batsmen were dismissed in single digits, leaving Imran Chughtai to step in and save his side. He scored a valuable 47 not out that sealed the victory for Adamjee. Dilip Kumar also chipped in with 17 and despite Takaful putting up a valiant fight, they eventually got over the line. Adamjee General chased down the target in 14.5 overs. Umair Ali and Junaid Tabish took 2 wickets each.
