Karachi Fighters v Super Star CC
What a start for Karachi Fighters who batted first. Opener Kamran Hasan scored 38 runs but his partner Adnan Siddiqui simply took the game away. He smashed an impressive 101 runs off 55 balls including 7 boundaries and 6 maximums. There was little for the remaining batsmen to do and with minor contributions they set a mammoth target of 218 runs in 20 overs. Super Star bowlers were helpless against the onslaught with only Faisal Shah able to pick up 2 wickets and Sumair Khalid taking 1.
With a massive target on the board, Super Star CC were on the backfoot from the start. The team were off to a disastrous start after losing opener Jahangir Khan for duck, closely followed by Farhad Khalid who was also out for duck. The team then found some stability with Mansoor Ali Khan and Owais Ahmed scoring 37 and 50 runs respectively, but the pair needed to see the innings through. Fighters bowlers were brilliant with the ball with Mohammad Ramzan and Salman Khan picking up 3 wickets each. Adnan Siddiqui also struck taking 2 wickets. Super Star CC were never able to recover and were bowled out for 158 runs in 18.5 overs.
Karachi Fighters won by 60 runs.
