The final match of week 1 of the MCL wrapped up with Jetpur Strikers and Dhoraji Titans going head to head. Strikers batted first and lost opener Imran Chottani cheaply for just 5 runs. The team however recovered well with Adnan Salim and Salman Moten contributing 25 and 54 to keep the scoreboard ticking. Dhoraji bowlers did well to pick wickets in regular intervals, constantly keeping the pressure on the batting side. Idrees Amin and Usman Ghani then kicked things up a notch with knocks of 24 and 46 to boost Jetpur Strikers to a competitive 160 for 5 in 20 overs. For the Titans, Saad Dawood took 2 wickets while Adeel, Danyal and Adnan picked up a wicket each.
In response, the chase started off in dramatic fashion! Both openers dismissed for duck and the Dhoraji Titans were reeling with Yousuf Jetput in fine form picking both wickets. The team however did a remarkable job of pushing ahead with Muhammad Muavia knocking 38 but the true hero of the day was Ahmer Aamir whose match winning innings of 97 runs included 9 boundaries and 4 sixes! He was unlucky to be dismissed by none other than Yousuf Jetput before getting his century. Adeel Abbasi then chipped in with 17 not out to lead Dhoraji Titans to victory in 18.2 overs.
