Southend Youth v A&I Properties
Southend Youth played against A&I Properties at Southend Club cricket ground. Batting first, Southend lost opener Mustafa after he had scored 12 runs but his partner Afnan Karim was in sublime form as he hit an exquisite century and got 100 runs off 71 balls. Maqbool Ahmed contributed with 31 runs and Ahmer got 10 runs as Southend Youth ended at 165 runs for 4 wickets in the designated 20 overs. Stefen Fransis was the key wicket taker with 3 scalps while Shahid and Aashir picked up a wicket each.
In reply A&I Properties had an excellent opening partnership as Aashir Ahmed got a very quick 73 runs off just 26 balls in a super blitzy innings at a strike rate of 280%. Sheroz got 41 runs and Salman 19 runs as A & I Properties showed their dominance and chased down the total in just 12 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. For Southend Youth, only Sehal and Usama got a wicket each.
