A tight contest between Arham CC and Aimmz Trading for a place in the final as the 2 sides went head to head at the semi final of the 1st Karachi Defence Cup.
Batting first, Arham CC were off to a flying start with both their openers scoring runs at the top. Nafay Tariq and Danish Munir were in fine form contributing 47 and 42 runs respectively. After Atta Ur Rehman dismissed the duo, the team completely fell apart with the remaining squad throwing away their wickets in single digits. Only Muhammad Sharjeel tried to put up a fight with 17 runs but Aimmz bowlers had done the damage. Atta Ur Rehman was the star bowler for his side with 3 wickets while the rest of the unit chipped in to restrict Arham CC to 142 for 9 in 20 overs.
In response, Aimmz Trading were off to a decent start with openers Syed and Zain scoring 44 and 21 runs effectively. It wasn't an easy chase however as Arham's bowlers simply would not give up, picking up wickets consistently to pull their side back in the game. Arish Ali and Shahzaib Khan were the key wicket takers with 2 scalps each while Talha, Danish and Usman took a wicket each to try and steal the game away. Aimmz Trading eventually made it over the line with Abdur Rehman's 17 and Abdul Rahim's 18 playing a key role.
Aimmz Trading won by 2 wickets and are now in the final.
