Arshad Associates batted first against Avengers CC at the 2nd Big Bash Ramadan League and did well to score runs at at the top. Opener Sohail Ahmed knocked a handy 28 runs while Umair Ali contributed 15 and Mirza Shoaib a cameo of 21. The team however continued to lose wickets, unable to really keep the momentum going with Avengers bowlers striking consistently. Shahid Ali and Akthar Muhammad then stepped up to save their side with knocks of 25 and a blistering 37 not out which boosted their side to a defendable 160 for 6 in 20 overs. Arsalan Masood took 2 wickets for his side.
In response Avengers CC completely fell apart! Opener Qaiser Atiq was out for duck and things only took a turn for the worse after that. With the exception of Waqas's fighting 47 off 37, none of the players could keep their wickets intact with the side being dismissed for a low 89 in 19 overs. Akthar Mohammad once again shined for his side with the ball, picking up 3 wickets at an unplayable economy rate of just 2 runs in his spell. Asad Jafferi, Junaid Ansari and Sohaib Ejaz also took 2 wickets each.
