In the last match of Day 1 of the 3rd Ramzan KK Super Sixes being played at the UBL Sports Complex, Al Hamza Sports battled against Shabbirabad CC for the top spot in what turned out to be a well contested game.
Al Hamza Sports, after opting to bat first, were off to a great start with both openers striking the ball cleanly. Deedar Anjum and Qureshi played important innings of 12 and 26 respectively, sharing 3 boundaries and 3 maximums between them. Asif Izhar finished the inning with a rapid 11 runs with 1 six to his name. Hasan Quetta was the lone wicket taker for Shabbirabad CC. Al Hamza Sports finished their 5 overs at a competitive total of 54 runs for the loss of 1 wicket.
Shabbirabad CC started their chase with opener Huzaifa Mohib leading the onslaught with a quick knock of 28 runs in 16 balls with 3 sixes and 1 boundary. Murtaza Kapasi also scored 8 runs with 1 four. Things were looking comfortable for Shabbirabac CC but Muntasir's duck held the team back from victory. For Al Hamza Sports, Deedar Anjum was in the form of his life, taking 1 wicket for 11 runs. Shabbirabad CC came close but could only manage 51 runs in their respective 5 overs.
Al Hamza Sports won the match by only 3 runs.
