IBA batted first against Sons of Pitches and what a disaster it was. After losing opener Taha Zahid for duck, the team essentially imploded with none of their batsmen able to hold their ground. Jai Vishal and Muhammad Zubair Arif tried to provide some reprieve with innings of 15 and 26 respectively but after the pair were dismissed there was no saving this side. The team lost a series of quick wickets before Moiz Hassan Khan muscled his way to a much needed 29 as IBA were bundled out for just 127 in 19.3 overs. Ali Aamir starred in his spell picking up 3 wickets while Haider, Irfan and Babar took 2 wickets each.
With a strong first innings, Sons of Pitches also lost their opener for duck and things did not get any easier after that. The team continued to lose wickets throughout the innings but the batsmen made sure to keep the scoreboard ticking with sprinklings of cameos throughout. Amjad and Ali Aamir were the most notable contributors for their side with innings of 21 and 29 not out respectively to guide Sons of Pitches to chase down the target in 18.5 overs. IBA bowlers did well to limit the opposition, picking up wickets regularly to stop the flow of runs. Jamil and Zubair Arif took 2 wickets each while the rest of the line up chipped in but were eventually unable to defend their team's total.
Sons of Pitches won by 2 wickets.
