The Memon Super League Season 2 semi final took place at Moin Khan Cricket Academy between Suleman Textile Stallions and Rims Lions. Stallions batted first and got a very competitive score of 173 for 3 in 20 overs. The chief architect of the batting line up was the indomitable Fahad Jabbar Memon who displayed his class with 82 runs off 57 deliveries at a strike rate of 144% despite battling a leg injury. Eventually he was retired hurt. Other contributors were Talha Ahmedani and Waseem Ali with 29 runs each and for Lions the wicket takers were Waqar Salim, Adnan Siddiqui and Sajid Lakhani who took a wicket each.
In reply, Lions had early setback as they lost opener Jahangir Iqbal for a duck while the other opener Waqar Saleem managed 23 runs off 17 deliveries. Ahmed Hussain then upped the ante with 70 runs off 44 deliveries but wickets kept falling at the other end and only Adeel Khan managed 24 runs as Lions were all out for 141 runs. For Stallions, Ali Mehar was on fire in his spell picking up 5 wickets while Muhammad Ali and Noman Saleem got 2 wickets each. Suleman Textile stallions now face TNN titans in the final of the tournament to be played at Moin Khan cricket academy on Saturday, 23 sept 2017.
Suleman Textile Stallions won by 32 runs.
