Golden Stars batted first and even after losing Nizar for just 1 they recovered well on the backs of Abdullah and Gul e Abbas. Both batsmen brought some stability back in the innings and batted with purpose. Abdullah scored 31 off 30 balls whereas Gul e Abbas managed to score 20 off 13. The platform was set for the middle order to come and take the score forward. Mustajib and Muzammil did just that as they scored 24 and 14 respectively in the middle of the innings. The innings ended on a high as the last few overs went for plenty of runs as Sibghatullah Khatri and Asim hit some lusty blows and scored 27 and 22 respectively in quick time to take the score to 159. The pick of the bowlers was Abdul Wahab who dismissed 3 batsmen.
Khatri Fighters in response, started well. The openers Noman and Waqar batted for a while and scored some useful runs at the top. Noman scored 21 off 17 balls whereas Waqar scored 11 off 8. But they could not bat for long and as soon as they were sent back to the pavilion, Khatri Fighters innings fell like a house of cards. Danish and Sibghatullah Khatri together demolished the batting order of Khatri Fighters as they picked up 3 wickets each for just 9 runs. Gul e Abbas also managed to pick up 2 wickets. In the end, Khatri Fighters were bundled out for just 89 runs.
Golden Stars won by 70 runs.
