Hamdard University batted first losing opener Daniyal Ayub early on the innings. However the team recovered in quick time with Nadir Ali stepping in to steal the show. His blistering knock of 70 runs came off just 32 balls including 7 boundaries and 6 maximums. Saeedullah, Sheriyar Khan and Ghulam Muhammad kept the momentum going with fiery contributions of 23, 36 and 42 runs respectively to propel their side to a massive target of 232 in 20 overs. Sindh bowlers were decimated giving away too many runs, unable to pick wickets when required. Parham and Sohail Jadoon were the only two bowlers who tried to fight back taking 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
Sindh Madrasatul had a big task ahead of them and they required an extraordinary innings to get their side over the line. There were glimmers of hope for the chasing side when Mairaj contributed an explosive 45 followed by Sohail and Abbas but the team kept losing wickets at key times, unable to capitalize on their starts. Hamdard bowlers kept things tight, striking when required to stump the opposition. Ghulam Muhammad picked up 3 wickets while Saeedullah and Sheriyar took 2 wickets each. Sindh Madrasatul were restricted to 196 for 9 in 20 overs.
