Karachi Stars took on ASPA in what turned out to be a hard fought match in Day 2 of the 3rd KK Ramzan Super Sixes.
After electing to bat first, Karachi Stars began with opener Adeel Khan scoring freely for his team. A known striker of the ball, he top scored with 31 runs off 14 balls in an innings that included only 1 boundary and 4 huge sixes all around the park. While Talha and Fahim lost their wickets in quick succession, Anas Mohiuddin played a supporting knock of 10 runs in 7 balls with 2 fours. For ASPA, Azlan was the key bowler taking 2 wickets in his 1 over after conceding only 8 runs. Karachi Stars ended their 5 overs at a competitive total of 70 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.
ASPA started their chase well with both openers getting starts. Arsalan and Salman scored 15 and 18 runs respectively while sharing 3 boundaries and 2 huge sixes between them but they needed one big innings to see their side over the line. Unfortunately, none of the other batsmen could deliver effectively and ASPA fell short of the target. For Karachi Stars, Anas Mohiuddin took 2 wickets for 12 runs to ensure a comfortable victory for his side. ASPA could only score 53 runs in their 5 overs,
Karachi Stars won the match by 17 runs.
