Aqeel Combined batted first and were off to a poor start as they lost early wickets at the top without much on the scoreboard. Burhan Mirza and Kashif Sajjad then got together and formed a solid partnership to save Aqeel Combined from a complete mess. Burhan Mirza played a quick little innings off 21 off just 11 balls and his partner, Kashif Sajjad was in terrific form and he smashed 64 off just 45 balls at a strike rate off 142. The partnership gave a great platform to the lower middle order and they took advantage of it. Once Burhan and Kashif were dismissed, Omer Saleem and Imran Javed scored some useful runs down the order. Omer scored 16 off 10 balls whereas Imran scored 18 off 10 balls to end innings on a high. In the end, Aqeel Combined scored 155 in their 20 overs.
It was a good first innings score from Aqeel Combined, and it needed some good partnerships and sensible batting from Vanthali Memon Association to get over the line. The start was not an ideal one for Vanthali Memon Association as they lost early wickets. Uzair and Farrukh then gave them some stability. Uzair scored 32 off 23 balls whereas Farrukh scored 43 off 32 balls. The partnership was looking good for Vanthali Memon Association but when they were looking good they were sent back to the pavilion and it created havoc in the camp. After their dismissal, no one could really stay for long in the middle except, Naveed who scored 26 off just 13 balls but he was fighting a lone battle. The bowlers bowled well and did well to restrict the batting side. Kashif Sajjad played a great role with the ball as well and picked up 3 for 27 to help his side to a comfortable victory by 12 runs.
