Karachi Fighters batted first against VMA at the 17th Challengers Cup knock out! The team lost opener Adnan Siddiqui for just 3 runs and continued to lose wickets throughout the innings. None of the batsmen could get going at any stage with the exception of Adnan Qaiser who knocked 30 runs. VMA bowlers continued to strike with the ball, picking up wickets to damage the opposition. Shahid, Kamil, Salman and Muqarram took 2 wickets each to limit Karachi Fighters to 136 for 9 in 20 overs.
In response VMA also lost opener Jahangir for just 4 runs but it was Muqarram Khan who proved to be the hero of the day. His half century knock included 3 sixes. Saad Asif also contributed 23 runs and a few minor contributions helped VMA comfortably over the line in 18.2 overs. Adnan Siddiqui picked up 2 wickets for the Fighters but it wasn't enough to defend his team's total.
VMA won by 4 wickets.
