Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana and Sharks CC played a 17th Challengers Cup Match at Al Mansoora Cricket ground. NHG batted first and despite losing Kashif after he had scored just 1 run, Farhan Arif with 38 and Farrukh Rizvi with 59 runs off 48 deliveries at a strike rate of 122% got them off to a good start. Talha then took things a step further hitting 42 runs off 28 deliveries and Hammad wrapped it up with 14 runs off 7 deliveries at a strike rate of 200% to power NHG to a total score of 166 for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. For Sharks CC, Farhan, Wasiq, Jaseem and Sajjad got a wicket each.
In reply, Sharks CC had a disastrous start as opener Ghazanfar was out for just 5 runs and Wasiq made a duck. Jaseem with 38 runs and Usman with 17 runs fought back but their efforts were in vain as none of the other batsmen were up to the mark and lost their wickets cheaply. Sharks CC were all out for 101 runs. For NHG, Faisal and M Aali got 2 wickets each while Kashif, Usman and Atif took a wicket each and there were 3 run outs in the innings.
Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana won by 65 runs.
