Karachi Patriots v Gulshan Becks
Karachi Patriots and Gulshan becks played at New Navy Karsaz cricket ground as part of the Khelo Kricket Champions Trophy. Patriots won the toss and fielded first. Gulshan becks lost opener Kamran early after he had scored only 14 runs. Mujahid and Sadiq partnered to score 90 more runs before Sadiq was out after having scored 29 runs. Gulshan Becks seemed on course to score 180 runs but some good bowling at the death by Patriots bowlers ensured that they ended at 157 for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Mujahid was the top scorer with 55 runs off 38 balls and his innings included 3 sixes and 5 boundaries. For Patriots, Rizwan Merchant, Ghazanfar Richie and Faisal butt got 2 wickets each while Ansar Bhesania got a wicket and there was 1 run out.
In reply, Patriots had an opening partnership of 42 runs before Tayyab R Balagamwala was out for 13 runs while Faisal Butt continued his good form and hit the ball all around the park as he carried his bat and got 86 not out off just 47 balls and his innings included five sixes and eight boundaries. Other contributors were Amir Motiwala with 21 off 12 and Ghazanfar Richie with 36 not out off 20 balls. Patriots won with 5.5 overs left and lost only 2 wickets in the process. For Becks, Kamran and Waqas got a wicket each.
Karachi Patriots won by 8 wickets.
