PDXI batted first and were off to a flying start as their openers, smashed the bowlers to all around the park and scored some quick runs at the top. Muhammad Hasham scored a brilliant 57 off just 36 balls with 8 fours whereas Adeel Hussain scored 20 off 17 balls with 3 fours and gave his opening partner good company. After the openers were sent back to the pavilion, Ali Affan propelled the score forward and scored some quick and useful runs for his side. He added 63 off 37 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. The innings was ended on a high by Shehbaz Muhammad who scored 30 off 17 balls and remained unbeaten till the end. In the end, PDXI posted a big first innings score of 215.
In response, Zahid XI were clueless during the chase. It seemed that they had no plan. The openers gave a good beginning, Yasir and Zahid scored 31 and 23 respectively but even after that rest of the batting line failed badly and there was no resistance from anyone. The bowling was terrific from PDXI, Saad Khan bowled an extra ordinary spell and picked up 4 wickets for just 13 runs in his 4 overs whereas Junaid picked up 2 for 18. Zahid XI in the end, were folded just for 122.
PDXI won by 93 runs.
