Sequre XI and Spartans faced each other as part of the 3rd ACM Gold t20 Day League. Batting first Spartans were off to a horrible start with both openers being dismissed for just 1 run. Zubair, Adeel Rizvi and Qadir then lead the recovery with knocks of 40, 22 and 34 respectively to give their team some hope. However after the trio were dismissed, none of the subsequent batsmen were able to keep the momentum going as wickets fell regularly throughout the innings. Shah Qureshi was the key wicket taker for Sequre XI taking 3 wickets in his spell. Hammad Ahmed also chipped in with 2 wickets and an all round strong bowling performance by Sequre XI restricted Spartans to 148 in 18.2 overs.
In response, Sequre XI were off to a decent start with openers Haq Nawaz and Shahid Ali scoring runs on the top. Haq's blistering 25 was accompanied by Shahid's impressive 55 run innings that set up the victory for Sequre XI. Iqbal also chipped in with 39 runs and despite a series of wickets that fell, Sequre XI were able to chase down the target in 16.1 overs. For Spartans Saadan Kaalia was the most notable bowler with 2 wickets in his spell.
