Classic Steelbacks batted first against Khas Stars with their openers coming out with guns blazing. Shahid Nepal knocked a handy 21 but it was Muzammil Mehboob that stole the show! His match defining 53 had Steelbacks in a dominant position along with Raheel Asif's 37. Stars bowlers picked up wickets but gave away too many runs and as a result Classic Steelbacks ended at a competitive 155 for 4 in 20 overs.
In response, Khas Stars were outdone by a fantastic display of bowling by Classics unit. With the exception of Khurram Wahab's 29 and Muqeet Jawaid's 36, none of the other batsmen were able to effectively contribute. Steelbacks continued to pick wickets, not allowing any room for partnerships to build and grow. Hammad Nepal was outstanding in his spell, picking up 3 wickets while Shoaib Nepal picked up a couple. Eventually the rest of the unit chipped in and with 2 run outs late in the innings, Khas Stars were dismissed for 118 in 19.5 overs.
Classic Steelbacks won by 37 runs.
