Zahid and Sons played against Zenith Associates this past Sunday and batted first. The team struggled with the bat, outdone by an impressive display of bowling by the opposition. Opener Aaqib Zafar was the only player to show intent in his fiery 56 which included 6 boundaries and 3 maximums. He received no support on the other end with the exception of Kamran Ahmed who also knocked a fighting 26. Talha was the key wicket taker ripping through the opposition with 4 for 27 in his spell alongside Saeed who also took 3 wickets. Muqarram and Zafar also picked up a wicket each. Zahid and Sons were limited to 140 in 20 overs.
Zenith Associates were positive in their chase with both openers contributing effectively. Bilal and Yasir scored 22 and 34 runs respectively to set up a comfortable win for their side. Kamil then propelled the innings with his blistering 48 off 20 at a mammoth strike rate of 240! Aaqib Zafar and Umar Farooq picked up a wicket each but it was too little, too late. Zenith Associates chased down the target in 14.2 overs.
