Karachi Stallions faced Benitoz in an important match of the 7th Residence cup at SKBZ cricket ground. Benitoz batted first and were all out for 128 runs as their top 3 batsmen could not get big scores and wickets kept falling regularly. Ahmed Arshad with 35, Sumail Kutchi with 39 and Muhammad with 15 runs were the only batsmen to show any resistance. For Stallions, Adnan Salim got 3 wickets while Mustafa and Hasan got 2 wickets each and A Samad got 1 wicket.
In reply, Stallions were off to a blazing start as Adnan Salim hit 40 runs off 29 balls which included four sixes in a 107 run partnership with captain Abdul Samad who eventually ended at 55 not out off 41 deliveries and his innings included four sixes and four boundaries. Stallions were home in just 12.1 overs for the loss of 2 wickets and their good net run rate in the match ensured that they are strong contenders to qualify for the next round of the tournament. For Benitoz, Muhammad and Maaz got 1 wicket each.
