The All-Star Renegades won by a large margin of 52 runs against Axact Inc at the Eastern Star Ground, this past Sunday.
The All Star Renegades batted first and were not off to a promising start as their opening three batsmen fell after scoring a collective of 16 runs. Then however, the hard hitting started as Junaid scored 34 from 22, Asad Sohail made 18 from 13 and most impressive of all was the 88 from 46 by M Kamil who remained not out. This spectacular batting performance helped push the Renegades to 182 for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Azfar Khalid took an impressive three wickets, Ashar Usmani took one and Muhammad Ahsan Farooq took two.
Most of Axact Inc’s upper and lower order failed to deliver with the majority of runs being scored by the middle order especially Asim Shafiq who made a very impressive 71 from 42 deliveries. All Star bowler Huzaifa took three wickets, Asad Sohail took two, Zain Saeed, M Ali, M Kamil and Hasnain took one each.
