Alpha Lab went against Surrati Perfumes on 5th October at DHA Cricket Ground.
Muneeb Ur Rehman and Anas Iqbal opened the innings for Alpha Lab. Muneeb was playing at a strike rate of 132. However, he was caught out at 33 on Suleman Waseem’s ball. Anas was stunning with the bat, as he smashed 82 off 53 balls. He thrashed 9 boundaries in his innings. In addition to this, Furqan Ahmed scored 54 runs at a strike rate of 174.19. Hence, the lineup posted a mammoth total of 194 runs.
Abdur Rab and Haris Shahid opened the innings for Surrati. However, both got on low scores of 3 and zero respectively. The batting line up displayed a poor effort, as the next batters lost wickets on fewer runs. The bowlers dominated with Muhammad Ameen bagged 4 wickets. In addition to this, Furqan Ahmed and Areeb Ahmed bagged 2 wickets each. Though Muhammad Ibrahim and Sheikh Ubaid scored 37 and 22 runs respectively. However, they were unable to chase the score.
As a result, the bowlers defended the score and knocked the wickets of all the batters in the 18th over. Hence, Alpha Lab won the match by 66 runs.
