The Amadeus Super Cricketers came up against Shadab Sports, during the ongoing Challengers FC Cup 2017, in a match played at the RLCA Ground on Friday night.
Batting first, the Super Cricketers faced an initial setback when opener Kamran Saad was sent back to the pavilion after facing just 2 balls. However, Adnan Moiz and Ibad Anis stabilized their team with important knocks of 34 and 42 respectively, sharing 11 boundaries and 2 sixes among them. Rizwan Ahsan also contributed towards the end of the innings with a rapid innings of 31 with 2 fours and 2 sixes. In the bowling department, Rafay Malik was the leading wicket taker with 2 wickets for 26 runs. The Super Cricketers ended their 20 overs at an impressive score of 170.
Shadab Sports were off to a decent start with both openers getting quick starts of 29 and 23 respectively. However the second innings was lit by the fantastic bowling of Ibrahim Burhan who finished with superb figures of 5 wickets for 31 runs in his 4 overs. Daniyal Asif tried his best to end the match in the favour of Shadab Sports with a quick 38 runs. However, Shadab Sports could only manage a mere 128 runs, losing all wickets in 17.1 overs.
Amadeus Super Cricketers won the game by a large margin of 42 runs.
