Fast University v Ziauddin University
Fast University batted first and what a fantastic all round performance by their side. Sanullah, Akhlaq, Zarnab and Hammad took the reigns and smashed the bowlers all around the ground. Akhlaq's was the most memorable innings of the lost with his knock of 45 runs off just 31 balls at a strike rate of 145. Ziauddin bowler Ammar Ahmed then fought back with a brilliant spell of 5 wickets for 25 runs in 3 overs bamboozling the opposition. Hammad Saeed also chipped in with 2 wickets. Fast University set a target of 202 runs in 20 overs.
Ziauddin University were off to a decent start in their chase with Ali Merchant and Ammar Ahmed leading the innings. The pair scored 39 and 24 runs respectively but once they were dismissed, Ziauddin were unable to recover. Fast bowlers fought back with Zain ul Haq and Hammad Masood taking 2 wickets each to handicap the batting line up. Hammad Saeed showed some resistance with his fighting knock of 26 runs but was unable to find a partner on the other end. Ziauddin University were restricted to 152 runs in 20 overs.
Fast University won by 50 runs.
