An Unbelievable Comeback

IAP v Extras

IAP turned up in full form for what essentially could have been a do or die match to keep their chances alive in the KK Champions Trophy. IAP won the toss and elected to bowl first against Extras at Moin Khan Cricket Academy.

Extras struggled throughout their innings, throwing away their wickets, unable to effectively contribute runs with the bat and were reeling at 15 for 3 at one stage. Bilal Hayat Khan was the sole contributor and savior for his side with an incredibly valuable knock of 69 runs in 51 balls. He received little support on the other end however as Nawaz Khan and Ali Ahmed struck at key times, picking up 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Extras set a target of 122 in 20 overs.

It was a dream chase for IAP. Their opening duo of Umer Inshtiaq and Kamran Qaisar comfortably saw their side to victory. They scored 53 and 55 runs respectively to chase down the target in 13.4 overs. Extras bowlers were unable to pick wickets, completely ineffective against the pair.

IAP won by 10 wickets.
