Abubakar Associates and Arshad Associates CC went against each other on 29th August at the Asgar Ali Shah Ground.
Abubakar Associates’ openers Fayyaz Hussain and Rehman Wali opened the innings. While Fayyaz got out on a duck, Rehman managed to score 16 off 10 balls. Aijaz Sawati, the one-down batsman, scored 15 off 9 balls only. None of the batsmen were able to score massive runs, as M Huzaifa Sheikh remained the top scorer with 19 runs only. Akhtar Mohammad Lala was the star bowler, as he bagged 3 wickets. Jahanzaib Khan and Wasim Ali dismissed 2 batsmen each. As a result, Abubakar Associates were restricted to a score of 106 runs.
Arshad Associates opened the innings with Ibad Ur Rehman and Anas Ahmed. The top three batsmen in the order got out on fewer runs. Shoaib Mirza and Arif Yaqoob played a crucial role in the chase while remaining not out. Where Shoaib scored 42 runs off 31 balls, Arif scored 35 runs at strike rate of 109.38. The bowlers displayed a poor effort, as they were able to dismiss only 2 batsmen.
As a result, Arshad Assocites chased the score in the 16th over only.
