Arshad CC took a solid win against the Mavericks at the NG Ground this past Sunday.
The Mavericks batted first and only managed to put up a 138 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 10 wickets with the only impressive performance coming from Usama who made 37 from 23 and remained not out. Most of the upper and lower order fell after scoring a handful of runs and hence the team could not put up huge score. Arshad CC bowlers Sohaib Ejaz and Akhtar Mohammad took an impressive three wickets in four overs each while Shahid Ali took two and Junaid Ansari took one.
In contrast, Arshad CC performed consistently and were easily able to chase the target and win in 19.2 overs for the loss of six wickets. Usman scored 35 runs from 31 deliveries and Shahid Ali made 37 from 21. Ikram Arif and Ammad took two wickets while Sami ur Rehman took one for the Mavericks.
Arshad CC put on a good display of cricket and were able to win by four wickets.
