Okhai Friends v Al Akhwan
Al Akhwan batted first at Afza ground this past Sunday. Opener Ali Raza was out for 1 but despite hiccups throughout the innings, the team were able to recover well. Farhan and Arsalan stabilized their side with knocks of 34 and 39 before Hameed stepped in with an impressive half century. His explosive innings of 52 included 6 maximums. Okhai Friends bowlers kept things tight with Imran and Mohsin taking 2 wickets each. Al Akhwan ended at 167 for 7 in 20 overs.
In response Okhai Friends were off to a disastrous start with captain Ahmed out for duck and star opener Khuzaima losing his wicket for just 1 run. One down Asim Imam however carried his side with a sublime knock of 103 off 54 balls including 6 boundaries and 8 sixes. Sumair and Osama provided support with knocks of 33 and 23. Akhwan bowlers were helpless against the onslaught. Okhai Friends chased down the target in 18.3 overs.
